WHY DOES GAME STOCK BENNETT READ PRODUCTS?

I purchased a BENNETT READ glass kettle from Game Kenilworth Centre, Western Cape & it lasted about 2 days before it stopped boiling & then also tripped the earth leakage on my property. This was not a cheap kettle & Bennett Read is supposed to be a solid brand which item I purchased in good faith. However, when I returned it, Game advised that they were not able to either refund me or provide me with a replacement because Bennett Read insist that the product first be returned to them to see if it can be repaired which usually takes about 3 weeks! So, in the meantime because of this completely unacceptable policy, I've had to AGAIN purchase another kettle (but this time NOT from Game) My question is, why does Game stock Bennett Read products & in so doing, condone & facilitate this appalling approach from a company that clearly couldn't care less about its customers, as is evident from the numerous concerns & complaints on Hello Peter that Bennett Read doesn't bother responding to? By implication, Game also disrespects & inconveniences their customers in the same way that Bennett Read does.

Hi Adam, thanks for getting in touch. I'm so sorry you're now with a faulty item. An agent will be reaching out shortly, to discuss the incident.

Game contacted me as they said they would. However, it was merely to reiterate that the policy outlined in my email is what they stand by, namely that the item must first be assessed by Bennett Read (3 week waiting period) & that there's nothing they can do about it. I, on the other hand, can do something about it - never purchase a product from either Bennett Read or Game ever again.
