What are the staff actually doing there?

I went to buy a wall bracket for a new TV at Game in Cresta last week. There were a few to choose from and I selected one which said it was compatible with most models of TV. Just to make sure, I went to find one of the staff to check if it would work with my particular model of Samsung just purchased. The staff member looked at me like I was stupid for asking the question, then asked if it was a new TV and then said yes, it would work. Of course when I got home and we tried to mount the TV, it didn't work! Meanwhile, in trying to disassemble the incorrect bracket a piece has broken off so now we also won't be able to get the money back. If only the staff were properly trained and informed about the products they are supposed to be selling us. This is all very frustrating and makes me even more reluctant to shop at Game again.
