Warranty

In March I purchased a Salton Kettle from Game. The unit has a 12 Month Warranty. As the unit failed I returned it to Game as per the manufacturer's Warranty. Which states and I quote verbatim that should the unit prove faulty it is to be returned to the supplier ie Game for a full refund replacement. Game pointed out their conditions of warranty states that I must return it in its original packing and they will send it away for repair Subject to warranty! Question A) This is not stated anywhere upon purchase! B) How can a store warranty policy override a manufacturer's policy! After an Argument I did get a refund.
