Utterly useless online store

I have now discovered a new lowpoint in online shopping. My daughter is interested in a toy that it seems only Game is selling, but our local store doesn't have stock. I went to their online store, which showed it as In Stock, until I entered my address. Then suddenly it was out of stock again.

After leaving a message, they actually called me back and indicated that their shipping policy is to ship to your address from the closest branch. If that branch doesn't have stock, tough luck.

Why have an online store at all then? Except at best to check stock at your local branch?
