Unhappy customer// Refund

Thank you for the taking the time to read my complaint regarding the Hisense 50inch Television (TV) I bought at Game Store at Jabulani Mall on 20 January 2020.

The TV was fine until 20 February 2020, when the TV just stopped playing.

On 21 February 2020, Immediately took the TV back to Game store and was assisted by at TV department , where it was confirmed that they know the reason it stopped playing and they will book it for repairs (Repair number 19883). I was advised that the TV will be fixed and ready for collection after 21 days.

On 21 March 2020, I received an sms advising that the TV is ready for collection.

On 23 March 2020, I proceeded to Game store to collect the TV. But when I got home, the TV was not working. I tried to contact Game Store when whole week on ***during that time – but the number was not going through.

On 26 March 2020, I contact the Game head office and spoke to some guy forgot the name and I explained my dilemma to them. They requested that I take the TV back on the 27 March 2020. I queried if I could be assistance seeing that it was 1 day of lockdown and I had to take time off from work to take the TV back. “guy” insisted that I should take the TV back on 27 March 2020 and that I would be assisted.

On 27 March 2020, I went to Game Store at Jabulani Mall and to my surprise – I was turned away without any help and I was told to come back on the 17. Mind you, I stay in Snake park Ext/Dobson Ville and getting an Uber back and forth with the Tv its costly per trip because I can’t use public transport.

During Level 4, I noted that Game Store has stated selling TVs again and asked if I can bring my broken TV back – they advised me to bring it back on level 3 by Game Jabulani mall Manager “Tjatji” and it must be booked for repairs again of which I made it clear that I need my refund as I don’t have faith in the Tv anymore but he is insist that it must undergo for repairs again until the supplier decide if I get a refund or not which I think its totally unfair to decide for me.

During Level 3, I have tried to contact game on numerous occasions but their line is not going through from March 2020 to date.

Around week one of June , I decided to contact Game Store in Westgate to query where I can take the TV back and I was advised to bring it back the following week (when they start taking TVs back) as the supplier has opened as well.

I was further told that if I bring back the TV, it will go for further repairs and it must be 3 times until supplier decide to refund me or not.

This is very disturbing to say the least, how can I buy a TV that works only for a month and when I take it back I have to wait for 3 repairs before I can get a new one or a refund.

This situation has left me emotional exhausted with no money because of all the calls, follow up and taking the TV back and forth. This is not fair at all. I didn’t buy the TV just so that I can go up and down for repairs.

Its still within guarantee/warranty.

I’m very disappointed by the service from Game Store Jabulani mall and quite frankly, I don’t want to keep on repairing this TV – its either I get a new one or simply refund me.

Monday 2020/06/08 contacted Hisense on the following number ***3 and was assisted by a lady “Elisa” explained my situation where she advise me I can get a refund since the Tv is less than 6 months but I have to go back to game as they must credit them and game credit me but my mistake was not taking down the reference call and when I went to Game same day was not assisted at all by Mr Sekodi/Tjatji who were not even interested in plea as I was to they not taking broken Tv for now for which reason I don’t know.
