Unfair treatment from Game stores (Vincent)
I bought a circular saw yesterday 25/04/2024 at Game store Vincent (East London) and when I got home I tested it out, upon testing it I found it to be very poor and weak... I then tested it on different board today and found no difference. I realised that I had bought a very bad circular saw and returned it back to game to buy a better brand. Upon returning it wax told that the saw that I bought is meant for domestic use and that it can be only used for an hour. I told the Game employee that I'm no carpenter and I was using it for domestic use and I was cutting boards to fix up my broken kitchen cupboards. He then further told me that they will sent it to the electricians for it to be tested and I will get feedback after that, I told him that I no more want the saw even if what outcome comes from the electricians, I just want to be credited then il add money and buy a better make or stronger circular saw. I made it very clear that I don't want that make of circular saw anymore and also I don't want a refund but just need to be credited and then I go buy another saw in the same store. The gentleman by the name of Bonke Sethu told me that I can't do that. I further requested to speak to his manager and he told me that he is that manager. I requested to speak to someone above him and he rep**** by saying that it will be the storeman manager and he already spoke to him and he said I cant be credited and further more he is unavailable. I am very disappointed at Game Vincent stores and it's the first time I get such bad treatment. I've been buying from game since I was a kid and always received kind and fair treatment.
By the way this guy even said I was Supose to read what kind of circular saw it is before buying and because I did not read then he cannot assist. I mean you can read all you like but if u haven't tested the machine out then you will never realy know and besides that I only needed a saw to cut two boards and I was going to put it away for the next 6months if not more... It's purely for domestic use so I did not need a saw that will be strong enough to stand hours and hours of daily or weekly use. Can I please get assistance on this matter!
