Unfair practice

I purchased a telefunken 47 "tv in July 2015 and purchased the extended warranty, In february this year i had issues and sent the tv in for repairs and now the tv is giving me the very same issue and Game cannot do anything about it?

Why do we continue allowing these companies to sell us such inferior products, they advised that the warranty is for 5 years and today they tell me its only 4. we pay so much for all the extra value added services and now even though the tv is giving me the same issue I have to pay out of my own pocket?
