Supervisors should be aware of their policies

My father-in law was discharged last week from Crompton hospital in Pinetown, Hence they had made their way to the Pinetown branch to buy a sewing machine. When my mother -in law opened it she was not happy with the product, So she had asked me to return the product at Game city as my father-law is disabled and I was passing through town . Upon my return I was told by Nithia Naidoo who was on his cordless, No eye contact, No conversation just ...Sorry we cant return it as the box was opened so you have to take it back to the store that you purchased it from. From what I gather game has a 7 day return policy and we had it only for 5 days, Secondly it does not stipulate that anywhere that you cant open the box....So is he just one of those supervisors that just tries to ensure that they store does not do other game returns, Does he want to make his target for the day or is he just arrogant nevertheless I am left confused as to why he said that. What's done is done, Can I kindly ask that he jump into his car and do the return as father- law cant make it due to his disability and I was only coming through yesterday . He should not have done this yesterday,its very upsetting
