Store stocking expired items
I spent in the region of R1 700 at Game Greenstone on Tuesday 9th June. I had purchased groceries from the Foodco division. The condition of the food section was really not up to standard with different stock packed together on the same shelves. I also noticed that there were defrosted boxes of Soya that had been placed in the fridges as when I took a box it was all soft and wet. The stock was also in very bad condition when I went to the fresh food isle with the onions having black marks all over them, the tomatoes over ripe as well.

Anyway despite all of the above I managed to find all the additional items that I needed and purchased them accordingly.

The next morning I was preparing lunch for my children. I had also purchased a bottle of Melrose cheese from store. Something was not quite right with the cheese and upon further inspection I see that it had expired in February!!!!!! If it had expired lets say a week ago then I would not be typing this up but I mean 4 months is a long time. How do you check the shelf life of your stock????
