Shoddy treatment of on-line customer

On 09 March 2023, I made an on-line purchase from GAME. Invoice number ***7. It was for a portable power station costing R9999.00. It was delivered promptly on Saturday 11 March 2023. I found the item to be faulty in that the charger did not operate as stated in the instruction manual and was, in my view, overcharging the unit. On Sunday I notified Game by e-mail and requested that they collect the item for a refund in accordance with their 7 day return policy. On Monday, 13 March, at around 12h05, I received a call from a lady named Sinalo (tel. ***) advising me that the item would be collected within the next 24 to 48 hours. I was given a reference ***. Nothing happened. On 15 March at 09h30 I phoned GAME on the sme number and spoke with Avro. She promised to investigate and phone me back. This she did and informed me that the item would be collected within 5 days and that I do not have to worry that the claim would be repudiated by GAME due to their return within 7 days policy. Five days came and went and on 22 March at 11h25, I phoned again. This time I was assisted by a lady named Chwayita, who advised that the item would be collected within 5 days and that the previous arrangements were not correctly done. I was assured that I would receive written confirmation within the next 24 to 48 hours. This did not happen. I advised my intention to report my experience to HelloPeter should I be let down again. Obviously this did not succeed to instill any sense of urgency on the part of GAME.
