Settled account still not closed/cancelled

I have been helplessly trying to close/cancel my account with no luck, I have settled my account which indicated a monthly service fee due last month and was told to wait for feedback for confirmation that the account has been closed, and was told i will not be charged any monthly service fee while waiting for the confirmation, to date i haven't received feedback but instead a month later i am receiving a statement indicating a monthly service fee due. why is Game not closing my account and still charging me a monthly fee account for a settled account that needed closure? Total reap-off !!!
