Rusted plate mini stove

I bought a mini stove from Game Westwood two weeks ago. The plates on the stove started rusting. I took it back to the store they refused to exchange it. The store in Gateway said it needed to be taken back before 21 days. Which i did. The store needs to send it in for assessment which takes 10 working days. Any fool can see both the plates are rusting. Im highly disappointed. What do I do in the interim?.
