Return of goods that does not meet customer expectations

A pensioner purchased two LG Smart televisions from the Game store in Jabulani Mall but is dissatisfied with the products as they don't meet his expectations. He went there to purchase a specific television with desired apps, but the salesperson's interaction was inappropriate. He was coerced into settling for LG Smart TV as a compromise, which is unacceptable. The sales representative should not coerce consumers into purchasing items they do not want and should not interfere with the buyer's plans. Pushing consumers to settle for product they don’t understand is wrong.

The Game Store's dissatisfaction with their staff is evident, as the customer was not informed about their seven-day return policy, and the store's unrealistic expectations of customers being aware of their policies during the purchasing process is unacceptable. As the Pensioner received the televisions without understanding the return policy and didn't open the box until three weeks later waiting for someone to assist him with the product. We called the store on December 27, 2023, the store's representative was unfriendly and unresponsive, indicating a lack of understanding about the return policy and cut the line off. We called again and spoke to manager, and he didn't respond to the issue and assure us he will call after 5 minutes, till now we are still waiting for that call. ‘That is Game for you’.
