Repair warranty
I bought a laptop at Game in canal walk, in 2014, the power button got stuck and I subsequently called customer service of Game to inquire about the warranty period. I was told the period was 2 years and then took the laptop to the Game Store in cape Town, the lady who accepted the laptop did not mention anything of the laptop being out of warranty and booked it in as under warranty. I called on Tuesday to ask when the laptop will be fixed and was called back yesterday where I was told the repair cost will R850. I asked why this was and was given a story of something else that was broken and had to be fixed as well. When I took my laptop to them it worked 100% and only the power button was broken.
This morning I went to Game to check and was told the warranty period was only a year, I then told them if I knew this I would have not brought it to them and also why did the lady not tell me this the day I brought it in for repairs, also the repair slip stated \in warranty\".
I would like to get this sorted out today still as I paid for the laptop and was told in no uncertain terms the warranty period was 2 years. i AM STILL AWAITING A CALL FROM THE MANAGER!!!!!."
