Refused to make purchase
Yesterday i went to Game Pinetown(KZN) to buy Eiger airfryer that currently on special going for R999. I had R800 of coins with me and R 200 notes. When I got to cashiers, Michelle(cashier) called another lady who told me that I can't buy with the cash I have at this time, I should have come in the morning. I than asked is there a policy which state when a customer should come if paying with coins, and these were R5, R2 and R1 coins which were in bank's coin plastic pockets. She then answered with attitude saying "does it need to be written down" and I said yes and asked for manager..
Manager told me they not gone take my coins they lot. I then told manager, first of no one asked me how much were my coins, since according to manager the store only allowed to take amount of R200 coins . I ended up living the store with no assistance.
When I got home I called game customer care to find out if it game's policy to only take coins to maximum of R200 as I was told by manager, customer care told me there is no such policy they are aware off.
For me the only reason they refuse to sale me the item, it was becouse of time I come in since it was 40 minutes before the store closed. I take this as Game employees/ cashiers who I believe have been trained to count money since that amongst the duties of a cashier but chase a customer away. So yes I was chase away at game yesterday by 3 staff that were to lazy to do their job just becouse they 40 minutes away from clocking out
