****** security guards and poor service

<p>Very traumatic and ******. When my sister (pensioner) and very ill was dropped off at Game, West Street entrance, it was about 8.30am. The security at the entrance asked her and another Indian gentleman why only Indians come so early to shop as they have to start working early too. After shopping, I went to pick up my sister at the Pine Street entrance and parked directly outside the Game shop doors. I couldn't get off because it was not a parking, but my sister who had just come out of hospital where she was seriously ill needed some items urgently and saw the Game advert for these items and wanted them. She said that the cashiers will send someone to the car with her because they don't allow their trollys to leave the shop, so I was comfortable that she would not have to bring the goods herself to the car as she is unwell. The cashier said the security will help her to the car. My car was exactly 6 footsteps away from the door, if not less. However, I cannot understand why GAME employs untidily dressed, drunk, dirty, abusive people to assist their loyal clients, because a young man, looking like her was drunk or high on some drug or the other roughly pushed her trolly to my car, narrowly missing denting the car and capsizing the load. Furthermore, he demanded R10 and my sister had only R4 to give him, but he started swearing her and abusing her telling her it costs R10 to push the trolly to the car!!! I was horrified because he then came to me and told me I must give him the remaining money!!! I shouted for the security because I thought he was going to become violent with my sister and she was trembling, but the security was busy gossiping among themselves and didn't bother about helping us. I drove away quickly and escaped his anger. However, I wish to state that the staff of GAME are very helpful, polite and friendly. They are well trained to assist customers and my sister was very happy with her shopping experience within the store itself. It is only the security on both sides of the store that are rude, ****** and unhelpful. Also, I can't understand why GAME is risking it's reputation by employing abusive people to help customers after they make their purchases. And why are trollys allowed to be used in the store if customers cannot take it to their vehicles? You cannot expect an old lady, ill and frail to carry out pockets of potatoes, groceries etc on her own, can you? I know that it is a security measure to have someone accompany the trolly because you may be experiencing theft etc, but to send abusive, rude people and for GAME to condone that they charge R10 to take 5 or 6 steps - is the height of ridiculousness!!! I demand answers from GAME!!!</p>
