"Price Beat" a BIG Joke

On the 22 Dec 2018 I was shopping at Makro Strubens Valley when I saw the Magneto rechargeable LED lantern from TEVO on special for R149. I was going to buy 5 as Christmas gifts but since I was going to Westgate Mall, I decided to buy them at Game on a "Price Beat" as they were being sold there for R199. To cut a long story short, the manager (Joe) & sales manager (Moosa) refused to give me a price beat on 5 stating that they have the right to limit quantities even though there was like a 100 on the shelf. They said that I could only get 2 on a "Price Beat". I called Game Customer Care and spoke to a few people including the manager there (Rudi) but unfortunately they were unable to help me. What's the use of going to Game for a "Price Beat"? I should have bought the all the items at Makro in the first place as they had plenty of stock but alas it was too far and too late for me to drive back there. I've been shopping at Game Westgate for almost 20 years and I left there with a heavy heart knowing that I will not be going back there again. In future I would rather shop at Makro and Pick & Pay Hyper where I know that I will be valued as a customer.
