Poor service

Bought a washing machine a week ago.when I switched it on,it didn't work.requested a Technician to come out,but they said they will collect it,and refund me.Now the have "backlog in delivery and collections",and cannot do a refund unless machine is instore.How long do I still gave to wait?????
