Poor response to query

On Wednesday I purchased two Lexar 64 GB memory sticks from their branch at the George Mall, some distance from where I live The following day I was about to open the the sealed package and hesitated. Was the part that plugs into the PC (the connector?) made of metal? Plastic connectors don't seem to last. I sent my query to *** and they responded that I must go back to the store and ask them!
