Poor after sale service

I purchase a 48inch Samsung flat screen TV from Game Kenilworth on the 25/11/2017. The price on the TV was R7000.00 which was paid in cash. Upon exiting the shop none of the staff that assisted me checked to see that TV was in a good condition. My friend bought me the TV as a housing warming gift as I was going to move into my own house in January 2018. My place where I was staying at the time was too small to store the TV and stored it at my sister in-law house where these no kids. The place where it was stored is an area of the house that is not used, so which means that it was a safe place to store the TV.

I finally moved the TV to my new house on the 28/01/2018. Upon opening the box to hang the TV on the wall. The screen had a crack right across the screen. On the 30/01/2018 I took the TV back to the shop. Spoke to the manager Valinto that was very arrogant and was hardly listening to what I said. Just kept on saying these nothing they can do as the TV was kept to long before I came back to the shop. I tried explaining to him why I only open the TV on the 28/01/2018 but he was not interested to listen to what I was telling him and just said these nothing they can do. I then ask him if they can find out what the cost will be to have it fixed. He advises me that they will send it to the supplier. They called me on the 14/02/2018 to tell me that the cost to fix the TV will be R6300.00. They called again on the 22/02/2018 to advise that I need to fetch the TV and I have to pay a cost of R190.00.

My concern it that why should I pay to have the TV fixed his whereas the staff of Game Kenilworth never made sure that the TV was in a good condition before I left the store. Please assist in dealing with this issue. My sister in-law called the very same store on the 23/02/2018 to confirm what process they follow when a client purchase a TV. She was advise that they open the box, make sure these no scratches on the TV and they switch the TV on to ensure that it is in a working condition. Well none of this was done when I purchase the TV on the 25/11/2017.

Please assist with this unfair and unprofessional service received from the store manager and there poor after sale service.
