PATHETIC

On 21 April 2016, I went to Game Stores in Northam Limpopo to take out a cell phone contract (Vodacom). I was assisted by Sinha. Whilst completing the application form for the contract, I told Sinha that I wanted to keep my current Pay as you go cell phone number. She said that is not possible for them to do it in store, I should do a sim swop afterward with Vodacom directly. I received my phone and left the store. I called Vodacom to request the sim swop, and I was told by them that the SIM was not activated and I need to go back to the store. The next day I informed Sinha what Vodacom has explained to me and she told me that she has just activated it and showed me on her screen. I then said to her again that it is showing as activated on a new number as I saw it on the screen, and I told her that I wanted to keep my old number. Again she said I should do a sim swop with Vodacom. Then I left again. I phoned Vodacom and they explained that I cannot do a sim swop from a prepaid to a contract, the store should have just activated the new contract on the old number – which did not happen. I once again returned to Game but by this time I was quite fed up. They said in order for this to be rsolved they would cancel my current contract and redo the activation on my old number. (Basically start everything from scratch). I agreed to this, however it is now 13 May 2016 and the matter is still not resolved. I have received my airtime as per contract stated but I cannot or won’t use it because I am not sure of where the process is currently as I receive NO feedback from the store whatsoever.

UPDATE: The contract was according to Game cancelled and they are in the process of redoing the contract and activation on the old number as initially requested. The problem they explained to me that they are faced with is that now all of a sudden according to the Vodacom portfolio I cannot get the phone I have (in my posession). They told me that they are busy sorting this out with Vodacom to upgrade the portfolio so that the new activation can take place on my old number. Two weeks since this upgrading of portfolio issue hs passed and today (06.06.2016), I received a call from Game stating that Vodacom cannot upgrade the portfolio (I do not qualify) therefore she cannot give me the contract and I need to return my phone to the store.

Can you please explain the following:

1. I qualified for the phone first time around when the whole process was messed up, but now I dont????

2. If the contract (accoring to Game) was cancelled 3 weeks ago, WHY was there a deduction to Vodacom on my bank statement at the end of May 2016??

3. Current money already paid over to Vodacom / Game by myself was as follow: R202 registration, R199 end April & R199 end May.

4. When I was informed that my contract is cancelled i was told by Wimpie vd Merwe (Store Manager) from Northam Game Stores, that Vodacom are going to refund the fees deducted, and that the end May fees would / should not be deducted - which happened in any case. When will I then be refunded?
