We purchased a Hisense TV with a 4 year warrantee from Game Ballito 25 October last year. Incidentally our friends bought the exact same model a day before. A couple of months after our purchases their tv started acting up – switching off and on and continuing with this cycle. They took it back to game who first “repaired” it with a software upgrade. They received it back and 2 weeks later had the same problem. Game then gave them a voucher as it was within the “imp**** warrantee 6 month period”. During September this year our TV started acting up with the exact same symptoms as our friends’ TV had. We then took the TV to Game Ballito on 07 October this year and showed them a video of the problem and advised them our friends had the exact same issue – can you believe they said it was the first time they heard of it and the customer service representative even had the nerve to smirk at me? It was booked in and sent away, later that week they phoned and said I can collect it and said they did a software upgrade. Two days later the TV started doing the same thing. Due to time constraints we could then only return it again on the 17 November 2018. When we arrived at the shop they told us it has to be booked in again as it was out of the six month period? Is this not for “imp**** warrantee” items? This item is supposed to have a four year warrantee. They then said that they no longer book in these large items and that a service call will be logged (why were we not told this before going through all the effort and risk to take the TV off the bracket and carting it to game). A technician was then sent out. I showed him the video and guess what he did? He upgraded the software again. That very same night the TV started acting up again, this time even worse. I have been kept in the dark(almost literally) by East Coast Appliances’ Bradley and Goolam – not returning any of my calls. Today I went to Game again and spoke to Ridwaan the service manager (incidentally he was also supposed to have gotten back to me on the 19 October after I called him due to no response from East coast appliances) He then got hold of Bradley from East Coast who firstly could not remember any videos sent to them, then suddenly did. Then asked if I had DSTV connected as explora had problems which I did not, then he remembered his technician (Goolam) said only a laptop was plugged in. Then his storey changed to it might be hardware problem and the part had to be ordered. Later in the conversation he suddenly had the part. Bradley is great at changing his storeys, Now the TV must be collected again for the hardware to be changed, heaven knows how long we have to wait now again. Oh, and the technician (Goolam), apparently - as per Bradley has a borrowed car so he cannot come to us on a Saturday, really???
I found this on the net regarding the CPA, are we receiving this? I think not!

Should have bought from Hirsch as with them , they keep their promises and you don't even have to keep your slips as they keep record on their side.
Never, ever buy Hisense products on the East Coast, service is absolutely pathetic!
