Not my Job will eventually lead to No Job

I went into Game Clearwater and asked the sales person to leave 5 black bar stools at the reception area for me to collect once I was done with my shopping. Although it was left there, I had to pack the boxes myself while the staff was standing around chatting to eachother. The security guard eventually felt bad and started to help. When I got home I realised that one of the chairs was white. The following morning, sick as a dog I had to return to the store to have it exchanged. After receiving a voucher from Customer Service I was told to go and get the correct product myself. I told the lady that I was not going to and she should organise it for me. She merely said it was not her job. I then asked for the store manager. She asked me to follow her to reception where she had a few words with a gentleman in her own language and left. The guy then asked if he could assist as he had no idea. I asked and was told that he was the floor manager. I again asked for the store manager who was called. The gentleman then apologised and again offered his help in the interem. After having a word with the store manager about the whole situation, he apologised and said that he is at his wits end with the staff as he keeps on training them in Customer Service but it is just not happening and offered me a R200 gift voucher. The floor manager then asked me to follow him back to Customer Service as he realised that the incorrect chair was scanned the previous day and wanted to correct the stock count. The same lady behind the counter was so arrogant with him that he eventually asked her to keep quiet as he would continue the conversation with her at a later stage when I was not there. After much confusion and more then an hour later the entry was corrected however I cant recall what happened to my receipt and now I have no proof. Worst of all I was informed that they no longer had stock and I was left to go to another store. Sad to see that Hifi Corporation is closing one branch after another, however, it comes as no surprise as their Customer Service element was just non existing. Hope the Game Stores will not be following suit soon ...........
