Not impressed

Recently I participated in 3 Massmart surveys. I only buy online. A news article stated Game now does price beat online. Today my vacuum decided to choke and die. So I went online and found an Electrolux ease c4. Game price 1599 exl delivery. Builders 1399 and 49 delivery. Takealot 1598 free delivery. I went into chat function on website and consultant sends me terms and conditions. So my questions are: why if price beat exists, and proof can be seen online can the difference in amount not be app**** at checkout? This avoids the send in documents, assessment, turnaround time and well just wasted time. Why are both massmart owned shops in the same location charging very different delivery charges. Lastly, surely if it's two entities owned by the same holding company, the prices should be the same or at the very least seen between branches to minimize effort of online shopping? It's tge 21st century, one click on Google shows the price of the item at multiple shops. So why then must I buy from Game, submit purchase proof, submit proof of cheaper price, wait for assessment, wait for refund. Unless I chatted with a really human bot, that decision could have been made at POS. After all this is online selling isn't it? I wasn't up to paying then waiting for refund, so item was bought at opposition. Cheaper delivery, same area, same warranty.
