Not a happy customer

I recently purchased a Defy 6 kg front loader from Game - Gateway, when I received the washing machine, it did not come in the normal packaging that we are required to keep for guarantee purposes - as per CPA requirements.

The washing machine came with polystyrene and plastic, it did not come in the defy box - how do I know that they have not given me a refurbished washing machine or better yet the demo that was on display in store. Why else would there be no box for the appliance.

Whenever I purchased any appliance from Game, it always came in a box, so why is this one different????

I paid R3000 for this washing machine and I do not want something that was on display or brought back to the store by another customer.

I called into the store to query - the lady said she would transfer me to the relevant department in order to query and i was on hold for 12 minutes, I eventually cut the call as I am wasting my airtime.
