Non compliance with CPA s56

We bought a Samsung 5.1 entertainment centre on 16/12/2016. Unfortunately the sub-woofer broke the weekend. I called Game and spoke to Shaun (sales manager) to ask whether they require the whole sound system for a return of only the faulty part for exchange.
He then informed me that the faulty part must be sent away for assessment, leaving me without a working system for who knows how long. I then asked him about s56 of the CPA which states that within the first 6 months, the CONSUMER can return the goods, get goods replaced OR repaired. It is therefore the CONSUMERS choice which of the three actions they would like to take. I chose to exchange.
Shaun first tried to imply that speakers are not covered under the CPA (I pointed out to him that all items sold should be durable and usable for a reasonable amount of time - we are still well into the first 6 months since item was bought) after which he blatantly refused and informed me that they will under no circumstances comply with this section of the CPA - apparently GAME policy.
I am shocked and will report this non compliance if this matter is not resolved and replacement unit is not provided by the end of this week.
