No stock of goods advertised

Typical Game once again. I was excited to be able to purchase an Alliance Air conditioner (12000 BTU) at the advertised price. Phoned Vincent Branch and was told that they would put one aside for me on the day that the sale commenced (Wednesday). When I went in to purchase the item I was informed that they had made a mistake and that there wasn't stock. Was told that they had 6 units in stock, but that they were sold the previous day. I find this very strange due to the fact that I was informed I couldn't purchase until the day the promotion commenced. I then phoned King Williams Town Branch and was advised that they had one in stock and would keep one aside to be delivered to Vincent Branch. Now I am being informed that King Williams Town Branch wouldn't release it to the driver who was sent to collect it!!! What do I believe? DON'T TRUST THE GAME SPECIALS!!
