No stock of advertised goods
Game advertised a Telefunken 39\ HD TV at the beginning of March. When I called on the last day of the promotion, I was told that they were out of stock, but would be receiving stock soon, as the same offer would be advertised in the following day's newspapers.
They provided me with a \"call back\" voucher, and assured me that I was guaranteed stock as soon as it became available.
I called again on Tuesday, and spoke to a very unhelpful sales assistant who said that although he didn't know when stock would arrive, I would get my TV. Not to worry.
Not at all satisfied with his response, I asked to speak to the store manager. I was transferred to Vin, who identified himself as the manager, and told me that stock was due on Thursday (today) and undertook to call me personally. I pointed out that according to the CPA, they were obliged to keep suffice to stock of advertised products to satisfy demand.
Needless to say, no. One has called me. A call to the store just now, could not locate a manager to speak to. I've left my details, but remain skeptical.
I specifically needed the item by today, as it is for my holiday house, and we are going down for the weekend."
