NO PRICE BEAT AUTHORISATION
Saturday the 19th January I drive to Game Mamelodi to buy a washing machine, Makro had the Defy 10 kg for R2999 and at Game it was R3499 so I go to game to do the price beat. The sales person is very helpful, even confirms the Makro price and says let me go and get authorization for the price beat. He takes around 30 minutes but I don't loose my patience because he was helpful and nice, when he comes back he says the price beat cannot be authorised and I ask "How so?" he tries to come up with an excuse saying the person who authorises is not here but I can tell management refused so he is just trying to cover up. I tell him to rather close the shop since no one here can authorise anything. He advises me to go buy at Game Kolonnade and I will collect it from them and he will reserve it.
I had to drive to Kolonnade to buy the washing machine, What is the point of having a game close by if it is selective in its functions. The next morning upon my return to collect the machine, no handover was done between the two stores and now I had to wait for an hour or more for the handover to be done and mind you there are no landlines at the Mamelodi store so communication is a problem as well.
Thanks to the sales person who tried by all means to remedy the situation, you deserve a star.
Close that branch.
