No guaranteed price beat!

If you find a product cheaper anywhere else we will beat the price by 10% on the difference, guaranteed...

What an absolute lie! Game does NOT honor their own T's&C's.

Requested a price beat on Saturday morning 8 June, via the helpline. Was told to follow instructions online & send an email. The instructions included a screenshot of the product from game website, and identical product from competitors website.

They rep**** within a few minutes to say it will take 24 to 48 hours to process. Well after just over 99 hours, 12 June, I got a reply to say that they will not honor the price beat request because the competitors website says that the product is sold out.

Nowhere was it communicated that the 24 to 48 hours is ‘business hours’ and nowhere else was it communicated that, if a competitors product gets sold out within the time that it takes for them to respond, Game will not honor a price beat request.

In fact, the terms and conditions stipulate that, a screen grab of the product which clearly displays the price and date, must be provided, plus links to the products must be sent, which I did.

So in actual fact this requirement is irrelevant. So they have breached their own terms and conditions. Game is playing games.
