No feedback for 8 Months regarding insurance claim on the account

My husband was declared permanently unfit to return to his work position, we handed in all the necessary documents for the insurance to pay this account, we getting no answer from them regarding and the account has been handed over to 2 separate lawyers, and they just keep on adding their expenses. What is the purpose for the insurance we pay every month. please we need answers??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
