We bought a Defy automatic washing machine in Dec 2017 at game in Menlyn- Pretoria cash . We collected at some warehouse in waltloo. On collection, the machine was not even inspected to ensure that it was in good working condition. We did not use the machine as we carried on with our old twin tub as we were searching for a plumber to install pipes that will aid with the use of out new machine. Upon opening the box(2018.05.07) we discovered the machine had an opening which will cause it not to function. 2018.05.08 we went back to same store to complain. We were referred to the admin manager who we have shown evidence(photos take of the unused machine, sealed in plastic and still in box). This manager sent us to the sales persons( Victor) who we related our problem to. Right from the start, we could tell that he was not eager to have problem solved. He took our details and promised an assessor will be sent to our home. Later it was communicated to us by the very same sales person that no assessor will be sent to inspect the machine damage as we took long with the machine not being used and they suspect we the ones who broke the machine I have few questions I'd like the store manager to answer.
1.Why were we not explained to the exact process when we bought the machine(e.g. Why were we not told we should bring complaints on the product bought within certain number of days after purchase)? 2. Why would we break something we bought with our hard earned money so we can "just" complain here on this site. I currently feel like I'm treated like a **** because the seller does not believe me nor care that the machine was damaged when we opened it. 3. Why was the machine not inspected by the warehouse when we collected to ensure that it's in its normal condition. 4. With the answer we got from Game store employees(which I believe he too was told by someone senior to him), that we took long not using the machine- does it mean that we bought this machine to be told by the seller when and when not to use our OWN assets 5. What happened to our Warranty and Guarantee?
I demand the store to take responsibility and own the complaint by sending an assessor to inspect the damage or give us a new washing machine or even better, to be refunded our cash so we can part ways with the store and not to be given the run-around we have experienced.
