New Hisense Smart TV damage from Game store
On Friday 29/05/2020,yesterday afternoon, I bought a 55" Hisense Smart TV for R8000 at Game store in Klerksdorp, North West. I was assisted by an older sales lady, who opened the box and tested the TV for me to see that it was working in good condition. After that, she put the TV back inside the box, but she was struggling with the TV coz it's a big TV and she was doing it alone. She eventually got someone to help her put it correctly in. Then she made me sign that the TV was working well. Then she asked another person to help her load the TV in my bakkie. When I got home, my boyfriend and his friend took the TV out and because I was actually worried about how the sales lady struggled to put it back in, we tested the TV immediately again, just to make sure. Now the screen was cracked. I then took the TV back to Game the following morning. The sales lady told me they cannot help me coz the TV was working and I saw it and signed. But when I told her how she struggled putting that TV in the box after showing me it was working, she quickly decided to be on my side and try to help me. I'm told that these Smart TV are very fragile and should be handled with utmost care. Then there was a problem with the manager who was very rude and told us that she will not help us, it's our loss, then left us there without finishing the conversation with us. The other staff wanted to help but could not do anything more since now the final word was the manager's. We were given customer care numbers to call, and spoke to some lady called Rina, who wanted to speak with the staff and asked them who gave out her numbers and also if there was a camera to show when the lady struggled to put the TV back in the box. She was told there was no camera on that side of the store. Then she disappeared. We then decided to leave that TV at the store because nobody was willing to resolve our problem. I'm very disappointed at Game for the treatment we received and that there is a possibility that that TV got damaged when that lady was putting it back in the box. Firstly, they didn't explain the return policy and only that the TV has a warranty of 4 years. And they want to use the fact that they tested the TV in front of me and it worked as an escape. Even so, it was not tested for a long time and am told that the TV can pick up a fault if turned on for longer. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you in advance.
Is there perhaps a reference number you can give regarding my complaint? And as to how long should I expect a response?
Thank you
