Misleading SMS & *********** Contact Centre Staff

Earlier this month I received a misleading SMS from Game stating: "Mr De Vries, you can now do so much more with your Game Store Card! Use your card for purchases at over 24 000 stores where you see the RCS sign, including Checkers, Shoprite, PnP, Foschini, Edgars, Coricraft, Supa Quick, Totalsports & many more. Optout No"

Last night I inquired at the Sportscene store at Canal walk (TFG store that accepts RCS purchases or as mentioned in the sms "where you see the RCS sign") regarding a purchase to use my Game store card, however they said they do not accept it and made me aware of the RCS card they accept, which I am well aware of. I even showed them my sms referring to "Game Store Card" and not an RCS card as I do not have one. I did not have a problem making a cash purchase, however I found the sms was misleading and disappointing.

Why did you sms me in the first place?? Today I called your contact centre for card enquiries and your *********** staff member tells me I cannot use my Game Store Card at an Edcon store. This I found amusing as I said Sportscene is not a Edcon store they are part of TFG. But the consultant insisted they are Edcon. But regardless of whether they are Edcon or TFG, Even the SMS stated that I can use it at Edgars? *********** and disgraceful.
