Misleading advertising, poor merchandising

Game store Cradlestone advertising and merchandising is misleading and has really inconvenienced me. Went to the store on Saturday 22 August to shhop for an Xbox 1s 500GB which was displayed for R4499.

Fast forward to Tuesday 25 August, I go back with the intention of buying the console but I am told "sorry these are just boxes we dont have stock." I refused to accept that as theere were tens of boxes on the shelf, and there was a price affixed to them. Initially I was told they will make calls and get back to me by day end which I refused as I have planned to buy this for my son whose birthday is tomorrow.

For a good ONE HOUR I stood there whilst they phoned around trying to get details of the person who displayed the boxes, an absolute shocker. How does a rep walk into game, display boxes and they even put a price, then all of a sudden they dont know who he is, why there is a price and why he displayed empty boxes yet knowing there is no stock. Really? How does one manage a store not knowing what is happening and has no contacts of who came in to do what??? So here I am sitting without a gift from my son and no call from Game stores! Shame on you guys
