Manufacture fault, but cannot take it back, really?

Despite being on queue for 20 min before getting service, i must say i got the best customer service, however my concern now is i bought a Defy washing Machine from the Brooklyn store that was displayed as sale for R3700 on Tuesday, 25.06.19 around midday, was informed that the machine would be delivered the next day of which it was.

Upon opening the box i discovered the plug is a needs a universal plug in order to work. it does not fit in customised SA plugs. so i called the store to inform them, they told me it is manufacture fault and they cannot take the machine back, but a technician from DEFY would come help me.

what guarantee do i have that the machine will give me problems in the long run, i was told i opened the machine so they cannot take it back. But were so quick to tell me that it is manufacture fault. i do not want to go back and forth, all i want is my money.
