Manager Celine at Game in Pinetown refuses to exchange faulty Hisense phone purchased on Monday. Makes my 60 year old mother wait over an hour then gives her attitude when she explains the phone is not damaged and is within warranty.

I am absolutely livid!

My mother purchased a Hisense handset at Game only to arrive home and realize there is no sound and the phone is faulty. Due to her age she can't drive around all the time and has spent hours waiting for disgusting service where she was told the phone cannot be replaced as it is an 'electric appliance'. The handset hasn't been damaged or dropped, it is still in the same condition it was received in only that it arrived faulty, there is no sound it only vibrates.

The phone is still within warranty and the 7 day exchange period yet Game management refuse to replace the brand new handset after making my 60 year old mother wait over 1 hour and giving her atrocious service she came home upset and crying.

This is not the first incident with Game I purchased a handset a few years ago and only noticed after arriving at Cape Town airport (from Durban) that there were stickers placed on the free airtime I was supposed to receive and it was used. I demand for this to be fixed this is disgusting! Never have I heard of a Manufacture fault handset not being replaced within 7 days!

I demand for an apology and for this phone to be replaced. This is unfair and goes against our consumer rights!!!

Reviewer Update
Hi Game, The issue has finally been resolved my mum now has a working handset. I'm still disappointed at the level of service that was given the first time round in store and hope that there will be some sort of training to improve customer service given by staff.
