Lost pensioner discount due to exhanging faulty item
My mom (a pensioner) bought a fan at the game Cresta branch and received her discount. The fan u fortunately was not working properly and I had to exchange it for her. Because she wasnt there (she suffers from arthiritis) she lost her discount. Althought staff was friendly and helpful, this was a big thing for her. They also did not have stock of this fan and the next fan price frim this one was more than R400 difference, that she cannot afford and they gave me the display/demo model

17 Oct 2025, 13:36Hi Riaan, We understand your disappointment that the pensioner's discount wasn't app**** to the new purchase and that you had to pay additional. Regrettably, the pensioner must be present to receive the discount because the cashier requires the pensioner to present their Senior Citizens Card and a valid identity document. The discount is also not transferrable and is only valid for the cardholder's personal purchases.
