LG 42inch Plasma_Guarentee

In February 2012 We purchased our LG 42 INCH Plasma from Game Menlyn. <br> <br> During this past month while watching TV the TV decided that it didn't want to work any more, it just switched off and doesn't want to go on. <br> <br> I contacted Game Menlyn and they advised me that all LG tv's only have a guarantee of 2 Years, how convenient isn't it! We have our TV now for 2 years and 4 Months and it decides to pack up and our guarantee isn't valid anymore. This is complete nonsense. <br> <br> The consultant asked me if we were not presented to take out a extended guarantee with our TV since all sales persons that sell tv's should present this to there customers. Well in our case, NO. I guess he just wanted to get it over and done with. <br> <br> Now we have no other option but to forget about the R5000 loss of a tv. <br> <br> I am completely disgusted in the service that we received when purchasing the TV and that the sales person didn't inform us accordingly. <br> <br> Also how can a LG TV last for 2 years and decide to pack up after that period, no wonder there is only a two year guarantee. <br>
