I have purchased a Connex Intel Celeron laptop during December of 2017 at Game N1 city. I noticed that the laptop doesn't close completely. During the month of March I noticed that the casing at the back of the laptop popped open exactly where the hinges are located. I took it back to Game because I was under the impression that it is still under guarantee. It was sent away for repairs only to be notified that it cannot be repaired as the repair cost of the laptop will be more than the value of the laptop. According to the report it was said that the casing popped because of wear and tear. I only had the laptop for 3 months, however and never experienced something like this before, bearing in mind that we have 3 other laptops in the house. To accommodate me, the manager of Game N1 city went out of his way to assist me but could eventually only come up with the resolution that I pay R1000 out of pocket to fix the laptop that I only have for 3 months.
