Is it just a silly GAME?

I app**** for a Game store card in September 2018 at the Eastgate mall branch, in December 2018 I decided to purchase a fridge using my card. The repayment term offered went up to 36 months, I was advised I could select this option which I did. Upon completing the transaction with the teller as is required I again advised that I would like a repayment term of 36 months and she made a note thereof on the documentation which was to be submitted to head office for processing. I was advised again at the store that I would receive an email within 48hours confirming my contract & that I would have an opportunity at that time to amend the repayment term if it was incorrectly captured. I received an e-mail last week confirming my purchase and advising of my 12 month repayment term much to my surprise as I had queried this 3 times before leaving the store. I have sent numerous emails requesting someone to look into the matter and get back to me, to no avail. Truly dissatisfied, I queried because I took the item based on my affordability over a 36 month term and it was completely disregarded. I was given the impression that I would pay a lower installment which is why I took the debt but it appears that is not the case. What’s the point of spending time working out repayment plans and terms if you don’t care to make use of it???
