Incompetance

Sent my husband to pay the TV licence at Game (Greenacres, Port Elizabeth). The account is in my name but he had the account number. The cashier (Unathi operator # 304) then decided to open him his own TV licence. My husband, not knowing the system, simply did as she asked of him because he did say to her that he needed to pay an existing TV licence and not take out a new one. I now have the SABC sending me letters saying that I have not payed my TV licence and they will be handing me over to lawyers at the end of January if I do not make payment. I have been trying to get my TV licence sorted for over a month now and I have to keep using my airtime to phone the SABC and my petrol to get to someone who can scan documents that the SABC have asked of me. I feel the cashier should have been paying more attention to what my husband was saying rather than simply getting the transaction completed. I wonder if she gets a commision for selling TV licences.
