ilex 23L Digital Air Fryer Oven -Disgusting Service at Game Store - Galleria Mall - Amanzimtoti -Kwazulu Natal

My wife and I experienced the most awful experience at the Game Store at Galleria Mall

It as with the greatest of disappointment that I need to bring this to you kind and humble notice

We visited te store today with the intention of purchasing a Milex 23L Digital Air Fryer Oven especially for my daughter’s birthday

We had viewed the item online on several occasions and on the catalogue at the Game Store at Galleria Mall { see Attached }

My daughter had discussed the purchase with both my wife and I yesterday and we were eager to come and purchase the item today

When we arrived at the appliance department , an individual from the department whom communicated himself as the manager from Home Mar k abruptly advised my wife , that the special was now over and no longer available and tore down the price tag advising further that the item was no longer on Special , yet we noticed that his colleague , mentioned to him that the special was valid until 20th of September 2022.Alos note that the brochure clearly states that the Special was valid until 20th of September 2022 { See attached date reflected on Game Brochure }

I also questioned him in regard to the discrepancy in the advertised price of R849 and what was now being reflected on the shelf for the price of R2799.00

All he said was that it was an error and the correct price was actually R2799.00 but the special was no longer available

Whilst we were attending to our fridge and freezer query with the returns department , I requested to speak to the store manager and was advised that the store manger was not at the store today but will be in tomorrow .Nevertheless we were advised that they will arrange for with the acting store manager to liaise with me

I engaged with a Kogila Chetty at the store and advised of the event leading to our discussion .Kogila advised that the price for the Milex 23L Digital Air Fryer Oven was advertised for R849.00 in the brochure and they had later put up a notice at the shelf advising that the price was in fact R2799.00.

I brought to her attention the fact that the item is clearly advertised for R849.00 in the brochure and still for R849.00 online as well ( see today screenshot ) and changing the price instore with just a page notice is actually an infringement of the CPA and constitutes misrepresentation and false advertising, unfair marketing and ********* business practice.

I also showed Kogila via my mobile phone that the online price was still reflected as R849 .00

Please note that at the entrance of Game Store at Galleria mall , the brochures were still reflecting the old price of R849.00 and not R2799.00 as she had communicated , and if there was a correction then the brochures should have been removed and replaced with new brochures depicting the correct price

This is indeed a dishonest and devious sales technique used by the store to lure customers to the store to influence and make purchases

Also note that I brought to Kogilas attention that the home mark manager was abrupt and ill informed iro the products he was selling . he was called in and reluctantly apologized to my wife and I. We still believe that he has misrepresented himself as the manager as Kogila was unsure of his position at the store .Appalling misrepresentation …..

I did provide Kogila my details as requested, as she mentioned that she will escalate to the head office with regards to the price discrepancy for the Milex 23L Digital Air Fryer .we are still awaiting a call from the Head office

I did advise Kogila of my intention to escalate the matter to the head office as well as the national Consumer Council , as I was only willing to pay R849.00 for the item as advertised and not R2799.00

Its unimaginable and shocking to note that an organisation Like Game Stores would conduct their business in such an uprofessional , ********* and distasteful manner

Absolutely disappointed & totally disgusted !!!!!
