Iconia B1-710 Screen problem

Last year I bought an Acer Iconia B1-710 for my daughter. Unfortunately she dropped it while running and the screen cracked . I have been in contact with Acer support and they reffered me to one of their repairers. The quote was R1365 which is almost the same as the price I bought it new for. When asking about the warranty I was told I must go and read the warranty document which is not what I wanted to know, I only needed to know if they can still repair it for me without expensive charge. I will never buy any Acer product or recommend anyone to buy their product.
