I was sold an old and used kettle

<p>On the 25th of Jan, round about 17h10, I went to Game at Lakeside mall to purchase a kettle that I was going to give as a present to my neighbough. Being in a sealed box, I never opened to look inside, so I took it and paid for it. When I got home, I opened the box (luckily) and I found an old and used kettle inside. It was rusted with water even! It has that crusted soot from previous use. It was utterly disgusting!</p> <p> </p> <p>I took it back to Game yesterday afternoon, and I was told that the store manager was not in. The people I spoke to, including security, had the audacity to say it's us customers who commit ***** by bring back used products. Why does Game not check the used returned products to ensure they are in working order? Why would a store with such a reputation sell this disgusting product? Worse still, they just exchanged the kettle, with half heartedly apolologies and a lot of blame as if it's my fault I was sold and old product. Surely the second kettle should have been given to me for free. This is utter incompetence and totally disgusting and I'm sure there are consumer laws against this practice.</p>
