Hurt customer

On the 29th of April 2020 was at the Store and got the worst service from a cashier called “Thembisile Mntuyedwa”.

I took an item at the shelf and I didn’t see that it didn’t have a barcode, got to the till and was ready to pay and the lady was like “ this item doesn’t have a barcode and she can’t go at the shelf and look for a matching item. She said I must go back and take another item with a “barcode” when I refused she just left me there and called another customer and continued with other customers whilst I was standing there.

Is it my job to check whether an item has or doesn’t have a barcode, I feel that “Customer Service” doesn’t apply at locations. I know you guys are under a lot of stress because of the Corona Virus but can we please get the best treatment.
