Hisense fridge nightmare

On Wednesday, 26th of October, my new Hisense fridge, which I purchased on the 1st of September 2016, stopped working. I called Game, Centurion mall, where I purchased the fridge from, and was transferred to Gavin, thefridge Department contact person. Gavin requested that I send him my Till Slip from my purschase, together with my address and the barcode number at the back of the defected fridge. This was at 9am on Thursday morning. I gathered all the info and emailed to Gavin by 10h30 the same day. I called back at 11 to confirm reciept of email, which Gavin did. He then informed me that he would contact the relevant people and revert back to me.

By Sunday 10 am, I had recieved zero feedback or assistance from Gavin or anyone else in connection with my faulty fridge. I called Game Centurion back, at 10 am Sunday, and requested to speak to Gavin. Gavin's response to me was "Oh did no one contact you", thats it. I said that no one did, and he told me that he would only be able to contact Hisense again the next day, on monday the 31st of October. On Monday, at 12pm, I called Gavin again. This time the blame was placed on Hisense, who apparently had a systems being down problem and therefore could not assist me on time. Gavin offered no reassurance in respect of Games customer service and in terms of sorting my issue out. He said he would contact Hisense again and revert back to me. After recieving no feedback, once again, by tuesday, I called again and was met with unfriendly and downright rude responses for Gavin again. I then requested to speak to the Store Manager who tried to do something else and promised to meet with Gavin to get the story of why there was such a delay. By wednesday morning, 7 days after my fridge stopped working, I called Game again to get an update. I was informed by Gavin that he is speaking to upper management and trying to sort a new fridge delivery out for me. At 12 on Wednesday, Gavin called and informed me that he managed to get approval for a new fridge and that delivery would take place possibly on Thursday but he isn't sure. Severly unhappy with this, I got into screaming match with Gavin demanding that my new fridge be delivered to me on wednesday. His response to me was that I was being ungrateful as he was trying to assist me. I then requested to speak to the store manager, who according to Gavin was not at his desk and therefore a message would be left for the SM to get back to me. This never happened after an hour, so I requested a male friend to call in and kick up a fuss. My friend managed to speak to the SM and managed to get Game to deliver my fridge the same day. Fridge delivery took place at 430 on Wednesday. I am deeply angered by the apparent lack of customer service, ***ism, and downright rudeness I experienced in my dealings with Game Centurion. The lack of urgency over a faulty fridge, which is an essential item, is appalling. The appliance was not a microwave or kettle which I could live without. All items I had in my fridge and freezer went off, costing me well over R1000 in lost perishable goods. I have still not recieved an apology or a follow up from the Store to find out what happened, or if the new fridge was delivered. They have also not contacted me to collect the faulty fridge, which is still on my premises.

This will probably be the last time I use Game Centurion, as clearly they are in no need for business.
