Good Start, Poor Follow-Through – Disappointing Service Experience

I recently purchased a trampoline from Game, which was delivered incomplete (missing parts).

To their credit, initial customer service engagement was responsive, and I even left a positive review based on that experience.

However, what followed was nearly three weeks of back-and-forth to receive two small missing components. The process included delays, a missed delivery, and ultimately a poorly handled final handover (items delivered without packaging, documentation, or basic professionalism).

Game has acknowledged that the delivery fell below expected service standards, yet has chosen to close the case on the basis that the parts were eventually supp****, with no consideration for the overall customer experience.

A refund was offered, which is not practical given the product was already assembled — effectively placing the burden of the inconvenience back on the customer.

What started as a positive experience unfortunately ended in a disappointing one, not because of the issue itself, but because of how it was handled.

I had expected better service recovery from a brand of this scale.

Reviewer Update
Update:

Game has responded to this complaint privately, acknowledging the experience but advising that no further action will be taken as the matter has been “closed” internally.
This is disappointing, as the concern raised was never about whether the missing parts were eventually delivered, but about the overall handling of the situation — including delays, missed delivery, and a final handover that fell below acceptable service standards.
It is concerning that even where service shortcomings are acknowledged, no effort is made to meaningfully address the customer experience beyond internal process closure.
This review is left here as a fair reflection of the full experience.
