Gift card ****s

I received a gift card that was loaded with money in 2020. It was used twice and still had a balance in it. I returned to use it yesterday and I was told that they (head office) can tell that there's a positive balance but the card has expired. 1. There is no expiration date on the card. 2. I was never advised that there is one when I used the card before.

I tried to get the matter resolved so I could access my money but I was told that there must be emails sent to God knows where because they cannot simply transfer my money into a new card.
