On Wednesday 17/02/2016 I purchased a new Defy Masterchef Multifunction under-counter oven to replace my old one. I had a certified electrician come install it, charging me for two & a half hours work for the oven not to work. He stated that it was a faulty oven, of which Game Bellairs (where the purchase was made) replaced the demo model with a new one yesterday- with \NO DELIVERY CHARGE\". Today the electrician returned to install the replacement oven which I had to pay for his time again. I was instructed that a Defy technician is R750 and no relief was offered to me with regards to the original faulty item and money wasted. I have then been instructed that how the cabling system is, does not leave for well tightened electrical cables and the possibility of them burning out or the possibility of losing my warranty in changing parts. Calling the Defy service centre (as instructed), I have been put through to four different sections ranging from sales to the workshop with no help as to what is going on. I need my oven working as it controls my stove too and this is becoming a big expense to me with no guide as to what to do. I was now hung up on by Defy. "
